My records say the left photo is of a M2A1 105mm howitzer on an M2 carriage, and the right photo is of M1 155mm hows in battery on M1 carriages, part of 503rd FABn. Occasionally this gets challenged on the bulletin board. My records aside, to me the physical differences make the identification obvious. In case doubt remains, I've added two more comparison shots below. |
