Message: Has anyone any idea of the ammount of Decibels a 1950s 303 rifle made on firing.?
and did anyone get issued with Ear Defenders during National Service in the early 50's

Message: Just curious as to why you want to know the amount of decibels a 303 rifle puts out.
I was in the Korean war as a private in the Canadian Army Infantry. That was our personal weapon. Single Shot Bolt Action.
We used it in WW1,WW2,and the Korean war,IN 1954 we were issued the semi-automatic FN C1 made in Belgium. The FN stands for FABRIQUE NATIONAL.
