I recall Jane Fonda going to Hanoi at a time when America was engrossed in a savage war that threatened to go on endlessly. Perhaps, 50,000 Americans had already died along with the 1000,000 or so Vietnamese who perished. Something HAD to be done to shock the participating countries into reality. I believe that was the purpose of Ms Fonda's trip to North Vietnam. And it worked!
Another 30,000 American troops might have been killed in Vietnam if Ms Fonda had sat on her fanny and did nothing. It took a lot of guts for Ms Fonda to take the action that she did. America owes her a heartfelt thank you.
I believe that it maybe time for Ms Fonda to plan a trip to the Middle-East.

You're definitely right, these left-wingers are all but the same.
I remember the 1990's, when i was a student, and working at the central post office at night to pay my studies. The place was just jam-packed with commies, who would complain about the fact that nobody in the world community was doing something to put an end to the war in Bosnia. When the first A-10 Warthogs started hammering the serbs away, with the help of the french rapid reaction force 155 hows, they began complaining that americans were war mongers. I told them to fuck up. That day , I understood more about those commies than I shall probably ever do.

Regards to all those who fight, those who fought nazism on my beaches, those who fought terrorism and still do. My kid is but 3 years old, but Belleau Wood is only 20 miles south from where I am living, and when he will be old enough, I'll bring him to the celebration: He'll see F-15 from Bitsburgh fly over the chapel, with marines in their superb uniform. He'll get a sense of what sacrifice may signify.

Pampered celebrities such as Hanoi Jane Fonda actually helped cause unmeasurable tragedy, tragedy which better Americans sacrificed their own lives trying to prevent.

In a very elemental way, Fonda's betrayal of our fighting forces in time of war defines treason.

The Vietnam War was regarded by those who fought it as a struggle to help preserve freedom and democracy for the people of South Vietnam against communist invasion.

Post-war Communist documents show that was exactly the true situation.

In a very elemental way, Americans who fought for our country in the Vietnam war define patriotism.

Today in Iraq, in a very elemental way, America's actions define responsibility.
