The key to successful product development is a good start.

Success begins with a realistic estimation of usefulness, market demand, competition, timing and costs. Success begins with identification of the critical tasks necessary to bring the product to market, and a plan for dealing with them. KORTEGAARD ENGINEERING gets new products off to a good start, and keeps them going that way.

We are a product planning and development organization, an association of engineering, scientific and technical consultants. We help give practical, physical meaning to creative concepts; and we help venture investors develop these concepts into successful commercial products. We evaluate the potential of new ideas, and then supply development planning and technical assistance, from prototype through production model.

Most of our consulting staff is drawn from engineers and scientists who also help the Los Alamos National Laboratory meet our nation's goals in basic research.

The skills of our staff are selected and applied to each specific product through a structured process appropriate for large as well as small scale products, and cost effective for any of them. The process combines the most effective concepts of system planning, multi-discipline teaming, quality assurance and cost control.

To help evaluate new ideas, and to determine if a product idea is appropriate for our systems engineering capabalities, we offer developers two valuable services free of charge.

For ideas with potential that demands more, we provide a full range of services.
