[Our Vow]

As Knights of Shadows, we strive to better ourselves and the world by being seen as examples to those around us. Therefore, we accept this Code as a way to live our lives on and off-line, and vow that we will not violate the code, under penalty from the Council of Shadows. Should we break this code, whether purposely or not, we will submit ourselves to the Council of Shadows, and await a trial.

[Virtues]

As Knights Of Shadows we do recognize these virtues as valuable. We vow to honor these virtues: Honesty, Loyalty, Humility, Faith, Patience, Mercy, Friendship, and Love. Without these virtues, our society would die, as would Mother Earth.

[The Code Of Shadows]

As Knights of Shadows we hereby vow to live on and off-line by these rules for the reasons stated forthwith:

A. We are to be honest.

Without honesty, there would be chaos and distrust in our land. If all were honest to begin with, the world would be so much better.

B. We are to be loyal to all our friends on and off-line.

We must stand together to be strong; only united can we defeat the onslaught of evil that plagues the world, We Knights must stand by each other and all others we call friends, and protect each other and Mother Earth.

C. We are to be humble.

While we believe that a little pride is healthy; we frown upon arrogance and haughtiness.

D. We are to have faith in our brethren and in our loved ones.

We are to believe in the abilities and strengths of our fellow Knights; and understand that we are all friends. We must know that whatever happens there will always be a Knight to watch out for us and help us through our

difficulties. Knights would not hurt each other or any other living creature if it can be helped.

E. We are to be patient.

Impatience often leads to rash decisions and actions that have little or no thought put into them, and that can lead to tragedy.

F. We are to have mercy on those seeking forgiveness, and on those who are in need of aid.

Those we help today can help us later. We should encourage ourselves to learn from our mistakes and pass on the knowledge; and realize everyone deserves a second chance.

G. We are to be good friends.

The best way to keep friends and allies by your side is to treat them well; to keep your promises, to help in time of need, to offer advice; these are things that need to be for friends to remain friends.

H. We are to love.

Love is the basis of all that is good. Thus, we must be able to love our friends, and allow people into our hearts; love is the most beautiful thing in the world, but it also can hurt. We must learn to bear difficulties out, so that we may fully appreciate the beauty of love. Only by loving and by being loved can we truly experience life.

I. We are to be nonviolent as much as possible.

We must try to avoid violence and battle when we can, for any animal can be violent and savage, but it takes a civil person to be able to solve problems by talking things through, instead of by fighting.

J. We are to act as examples to those around us, displaying virtue, chivalry, and kindness.

This is in order that our Knighthood may not be looked upon with contempt, except those who are evil and cruel.

K. We are to protect.

We are to protect the weak and innocent be it human, animal, Mother Earth herself, or any other of Mother Earth's children ( i.e.: plants, trees....)
